Worksurfaces: Dekton Lunar with 60mm Built Up.

Description: Mike & Lucy refurbished the whole of their new home; as well as opening up the kitchen/dining area to create a huge open plan space to cook, eat, entertain and socialise with friends and family. The idea was to create something unique, but understated with clean lines and a Germanic feel using a handleless rail system. We opted for a graphite slab door, our Porter Handleless range, with some feature concrete wall units to break up the dark colours. The worksurfaces are Dekton Lunar, but created with a mitred downstand for a 60mm thickness; this was the perfect worksurface for a busy household; meaning they would not have to worry about chopping directly on the worksurface or putting down hot dishes.

With 6 in the family there are plenty of mouths to feed; so lots of cold storage is important; we opted for a full height built in fridge and full height built in freezer to give them maximum cold storage in their new handleless kitchen; and overflow storage in the garage if needed.

Two Neff self cleaning ovens give lots of cooking ability; with a large induction hob to match. There is a built in microwave/combination oven as well as a built in coffee machine to complete the bank of 4 appliances.

The Quooker hot tap provides them with instant boiling and filtered water; which is also a must for busy schedules who don't want to wait for the kettle to boil.
